First a porcelain slab of clay is formed into a platter shape. Black clay slip is added when the clay is at the perfect dryness and then carefully carved with specialized tools. A clear glaze is applied for the final firing. This platter displays wonderfully within a plate holder to be enjoyed on a daily basis while not in use. This plate measures 11" x 8.5" x 5/8"
